Writing about work on your blog is dangerous. I'm not nearly as careful as I used to be about keeping my "Dogfood Provider" identity separate from my Real Life identify. At some point, I will review all of my old posts and edit the ones that would prevent me from dropping my pseudonym all together. In the meantime, though, as I sit down to write, I'm really conscious that what I want to tell you and what I should tell you are two very different things.
I'm editing, I'm holding back, and that doesn't come easily to me. You're going to feel it as you read.
You know what, I can't even write about work at all. Here is what I would like to say about work:
Work gives me FEELINGS, many conflicting feelings. Yech, feelings.
I thought lawyers were soulless? I didn't know I'd still have to deal with FEELINGS!

Hooked on Mexican Food
All I want to eat these days is Mexican food. I start with making "Mexican" rice, perhaps more aptly named rice like you get at cheap Mexican restaurants around here.
You can use a recipe I found here. Basically, sautee your rice in some veggie oil. Add diced onions. Add some spices - cumin, salt, garlic powder - and give it a sizzle. I don't measure them, I just guess. I like to add a little cayenne, too, but your mileage may vary. :-) Add a cup of tomato sauce (here's how to gin some up if you don't have any in your cupboard) and 2 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a boil then simmer until your rice is donezo, say, 20 minutes.
You ever notice that these recipes say to fluff your rice with a fork? Can anyone do that successfully without scratching the hell out of their pots and pans? I sure can't. I have a secret trick though: I use chopsticks for fluffing rice, couscous, you name it. They don't scratch anything and they totally get the job done. You're welcome, internets!
The next thing I do is slice up a bunch of veggies and grill them on my little calphalon grilling pan. I never remember that tomatoes grill a lot faster than everything else, so I always end up rescuing them before the other veggies are done. You know what? It doesn't matter. It's all still delicious.
To this, sometimes I add beans. I always add sliced avocado - mmmmmm delicious. Tonight, I also grilled up some chicken, marinated in my special fajita sauce. Varying quantities of tequila, lime juice, olive oil, cayenne, cumin, garlic powder and salt: delicious. Tonight I threw everything in a bowl and nommed. Sometimes I get all proper and actually put them in tortillas. I've also enjoyed throwing a big mess of them into a couple of leaves of romaine - that's a nice "tortilla," too.
